ISO 17025 Fundamentals:
         ISO/IEC 17025:2017 standard:
1-) It has been prepared to increase the confidence in the operation of laboratories.

·       -ISO/IEC 17025:2017 standard includes the requirements for laboratories to be able to show that they work competently and can obtain valid results.

·       -Laboratories that comply with the ISO/IEC 17025:2017 standard are also generally accepted to operate in accordance with the principles of ISO 9001.

2-) It requires the laboratory to plan and implement activities to address risks and opportunities. Addressing risks and opportunities; It provides a basis for increasing the effectiveness of the management system, achieving improved results and preventing negative effects. It is the laboratory's responsibility to determine the risks and opportunities that need to be addressed.

3-) It facilitates cooperation between laboratories and other organizations, helps with the exchange of information and experience, and also helps with the harmonization of standards and procedures.
4-) Compliance of laboratories with the ISO/IEC 17025:2017 standard facilitates the acceptance of results among countries.

5-)  It covers the general requirements regarding the Competence, Impartiality and Consistent Operation of Laboratories.

What is Accreditation?

It is a quality infrastructure established to support the reliability and validity of the studies carried out by conformity assessment bodies and therefore the conformity confirmation documents they issue as a result of these studies (Test and inspection reports, calibration certificates, management system documents, product certification documents, personnel certification documents, etc.).
